For Waqf Institutions & Endowers
Endow Once, Launch Global Talent Every Year
The waqf principal stays intact under its nazhir; the returns fund KI Fellowship seats — preparation scholarships for study, scholarships, and legal work abroad for high-potential Indonesian talent with limited means. The benefit flows every year, in perpetuity.
How It Flows
We do not manage waqf funds — management stays entirely with the institution's nazhir and investment manager. KI Academy operates at the benefit-distribution end.
The principal stays intact
Endowers give through a waqf institution (a registered nazhir). The principal is preserved and invested according to sharia by that institution's fund manager.
Returns are distributed
Net returns are distributed periodically as waqf benefit — allocated to fund KI Fellowship seats.
Students are the beneficiaries
Each seat funds one selected student (mauquf 'alaih) through the full preparation program: modules, mentors, document reviews, until placement-ready.
Why Distribute Through the KI Fellowship
Measurable impact per rupiah
Every recipient has a Global Readiness Score (0–100) verified by human mentors — progress from baseline to placement-ready is recorded on the platform and reportable per period.
Merit + need selection, already running
Recipients are chosen through an existing funding-application mechanism that weighs potential (readiness score) and genuine need (financial profile) — not appointment.
Automated accountability reporting
The waqf institution receives per-source impact reports: recipients funded, subsidies distributed, average score growth, and placement status — generated from platform data, not compiled by hand.
It ends in independence, not consumption
The benefit doesn't stop at aid — recipients who secure legal work abroad multiply their family's income. A productive benefit that keeps compounding.
A Simple Illustration
A Rp350 million corpus at ±5% net annual return yields ±Rp17.5 million — enough to fund ±10 Mentored-tier Fellowship seats every year. The principal stays whole; those seats are reborn every year, in perpetuity.
The figures above are illustrative, not a promise of returns. Realization depends on the performance of each institution's nazhir/investment manager.
Endowed Seats — Named Fellowships
For institutional or family endowers: endow a corpus whose returns fund one or more seats every year, under a name of your choosing — e.g. “The Rahman Family Fellowship”. That name travels with every recipient launched, complete with its impact report.
Let's Talk
We welcome conversations with nazhirs, waqf investment managers, and endowers — from allocating existing returns to launching a joint talent-waqf campaign.
