7Common Questions
Why is the Netherlands popular with LPDP applicants?
Many of its universities are LPDP-listed, programs are in English, master's take 1–2 years, and fields like law & water management are highly relevant to Indonesia.
Can I work part-time in the Netherlands?
Yes, up to 16 hours/week (or full-time June–August) and your employer must arrange a work permit (TWV) — slightly more hassle than elsewhere, so don't lean on part-time as your main funding.
Is student housing in the Netherlands really that hard?
Yes, the housing crisis is real, especially in Amsterdam/Utrecht. Accept university housing offers immediately, start searching 4–6 months before departure, and consider smaller cities (Groningen, Enschede) that are cheaper.
